I just took the 6 Week Body Makeover Blue Print and I was labeled as a Body Type B. The Blue Print comes with your body makeover kit and it’s a 48 set questionnaire that asks questions about your diet, daily activity, body type and weight loss goals. Specifically you fill out all the questions and all the questions are categorized with different numbers. The group with the most numbers is your body type. In my case, I am a body type B.
So what is a B body type? A “B” body is someone who has lean muscle mass and is actually quite muscular…sometimes they have too much muscle. Since B type people have more lean body mass, it is easier for them to lose weight as their metabolisms burn faster than the other body types. B bodies should focus more on sculpting the “problem” areas so that they can maximize their fat loss all and increase their metabolisms. Also, the booklet said I can introduce more simple and complex carbohydrates into my diet as I will have an easier time burning these calories. However, I should stay away from red meats as these proteins are more fatty and will make me bulk up. I should eat more lean proteins such as chicken, turkey and fish.
I’m in agreement with these facts and am surprised how close their statements are compared to what I know about my body. The truth is, I have been working out a lot more. In my workouts I weight lift, do cardio and other core exercises. Over my lifetime, I’ve noticed that when I do workout on a regular basis, I’m able to eat more of the fatty foods that I crave and it’s easier to burn those calories off later in the weight. During the winter when I’m more sedentary, I’ve noticed that even if I do try to diet, I gain weight. I believe with my body that I need to focus on gaining lean muscle and retaining that muscle all over my body. The more muscle I have, the easier it is for me to burn calories throughout the day.
My diet right now is really crappy. I tend to eat whatever is front of me and do not carefully think of what I should eat to maximize my fat loss. I’m the type of person that goes through extreme phases. If I’m really trying hard to diet, I won’t eat that much and will count calories…this often leads to failure and I went up right where I started. For example, today I ate two jelly and butter sandwiches, some hard boiled eggs, two ice cream bars and two fried chicken sandwiches. WOW! Just listing out that food surprises me. Did I really eat all that crap!? Except for the eggs, I do not see ANY nutritional value whatsoever.
I’ve always dreamed of having a six-pack and eating the above will not help my cause. I hope that sticking to a food regimine (that I’ll prepare with the 6 week body makeover) will help me lose weight and become a lean mean 6-pack machine. The next time I post, I’ll write my specific diet and body sculpting rountine. Questions about the 6 Week Body Makeover will be answered in the comment box below.
Welcome to the 6 Week Body Makeover blog. I started this blog as a way to review the product as well as keep myself accountable for losing weight. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I have chosen this diet out of all the other popular weight loss products on the market.
All of my life I have had a problem with my weight and have never felt satisfied with my current body weight. When I was in high school I weighed nearly 200 lbs. I’m 5’8″ and being 200 lbs was considered obese. I went to the doctor for a physical and was notified that I had high blood pressure. High blood pressure at 16 years old is a scary situation.
After high school, the weight started to drop off and during my second year of college I weighted around 150 lbs. I was too skinny at this weight and did not have any lean muscle mass as I did not work out and only ate one meal a day (ramen noodles).
My weight fluctuates till this day and I currently weigh around 175 lbs. My ideal weight would be around 155 lbs, BUT I would like to have lean muscle mass and muscle weight. I chose the body makeover diet as a means to learn how to eat healthy without having to compromise eating portions.
The current diet I’m on is about learning how to eat correctly based on your body type. According to the diet, losing weight is not about starving yourself, taking pills or drinking expensive shakes, it’s about eating foods that help increase your metabolism and burn calories throughout the day.
The idea of having a meal plan that would cooperate with my metabolism and help burn calories was quite appealing to me. I’m the type of person that needs a lot of structure when it comes to eating. If I do not have structure, I tend to eat whatever is in front of me and most of the time my food choices are not healthy. I love eating fried chicken and macaroni and cheese which is probably one of the worst meals that someone can eat while trying to lose weight.
I’m excited to start my own personalized meal plan and drop the weight and I would love to share my weight loss goals and give tidbits of information about the 6 Week Body Makeover.
